Most paddle boards are built around petroleum-derived foam cores and synthetic reinforcement systems. While effective, this conventional construction model leaves little room for material reconsideration.
Tide & Timber Boards began with a simple question:
Could performance paddle boards be built differently — with greater material responsibility and long-term durability in mind?
The development process began with plant-based agave reinforcement fibres sourced through established agricultural systems in Kenya.
Rather than pursuing novelty, the focus was structural viability — ensuring that plant-based integration could contribute meaningfully to board construction without compromising reliability.
The result was a material exploration grounded in practicality, not marketing.

The original prototype was developed under the name SUPAGAVE — a direct reference to stand-up paddle and agave material innovation.
As the concept evolved beyond experimentation into structured design, the brand matured.
Tide & Timber represents that transition: refined construction, material responsibility, and a long-term approach to product integrity.
Sustainability is not achieved through marketing language. It is shaped through restraint — thoughtful material selection, durability, and transparency.
Tide & Timber Boards is built around that principle.
The goal is not to follow trends, but to develop equipment that reflects material responsibility, structural reliability, and long-term use.
